INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
Interland is a peaceful and diplomatic state. It maintains no armed forces of aggression and seeks relations founded on mutual recognition of sovereignty.
Interland maintains a policy of Active Neutrality, engaging in diplomacy only where it serves the global peace and collective advancement. The Republic does not join military blocs, does not recognise claims advanced by force, and offers its good offices for mediation between other states.
We seek partnerships with micronations that respect UI sovereignty and ideological purity. Alliances are entered by treaty, ratified in open sitting of the National Assembly, and published in full in the National Register — Interland concludes no secret agreements.
Mutual acknowledgement of sovereignty and the exchange of standing correspondence.
Shared cultural, archival and technical projects between assemblies.
Binding mutual commitment to non-aggression and third-party mediation.
Interlandian neutrality is active, not passive. The Republic declines to take sides in the disputes of others but does not withdraw from the world: it observes, records, and offers its territory and archives as neutral ground for negotiation.
No Interlandian citizen may be conscripted for a foreign conflict, and no state asset may be lent to a belligerent party.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs pursues cooperation in archival exchange, cartographic verification, currency and stamp issuance, cultural festivals, and the shared drafting of model legislation for small states. Requests for cooperation are answered within thirty days of receipt.
Interland regards micronational diplomacy as a serious practice rather than an amusement. Its conduct rests on four standing rules:
Recognition is offered to any state that offers it in return in good faith.
Every accord is written, signed, sealed and published.
Interland comments on the internal affairs of no other state.
Obligations survive changes of government; treaties bind the Union, not the ministry.
States wishing to open relations may address the Chancery of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at gov@interland.pntr.dev.
